Coming to Mexico it didn’t really hit me that I was going to be in a different country, I mean why should it , I’m still on the same cotenant and I was simply going to cross an invisible line with the only existence because of our government… I soon found out never the less it was more than just that of a change!
The first thing I noticed was the language change …for one I had walked into a Costco where I was one of the very few who spoke nothing but English I felt as if I was speaking a secret language .this brought a lot of concern as I thought what in the world am I going to do when I meet the kids down at the casa…finally when we did meet the (ninos) kids they where totally sweet some knew a lil bit of English and it all turned out ok … Mexico doesn’t feel very safe and at times I have seen kids wondering the streets…and I cant help but wonder if they are ok…we came across the border and we where driving on that main high way right there and I looked up and saw two boys standing next to the high way on a hill very close to the bridge we where about to drive under every where around them was another busy high way they where cornered on this triangle hill covered with brown grass and rocks…how where they safe at all!!! The living spaces are small every where(which I expected ) but I had no idea about this smell…I don’t even want to explain it in hopes that I wont loose the taco in my stomach we got down the road at a stand(one of millions)… I hope to add more later. Cheers and I wish you a peaceful some what quiet, comfortable, chilled sleep(one of the many things I find I am taking for granted). Nuh-night , Katrina
